Description
Sumner (see PDF map) located North of NE Sandy Boulevard is a small enclave of mostly single family homes bordered by NE 82nd Avenue to the West and I-205 to the East.
Sandy Blvd. includes the new Portland International Business District, the Parkrose Business Association, and MAX lightrail transit station. Sandy also serves as a direct route to the inner Eastside’s destination areas, such as Hollywood town center neighborhood.
Sumner also boasts easy access to Portland’s Interstates and PDX International Airport, while only a short commute from the city center. The Johnson Lake Property by the Interstate is a secluded, undeveloped parcel with great wildlife-viewing opportunities including a walking path enhanced by neighborhood volunteers. Sumner’s streets are lined with neat, modest cottages which lends a unique neighborly character.
