NNO and New Assignments for Crime Prevention |

Looking for a fun way to connect with your neighbors? Consider hosting a National Night Out (NNO) party on Tuesday, August 4. National Night Out is an annual event that focuses on strengthening community and preventing crime. More information and NNO registration are available online. NNO party registration deadline is July 21.
Effective June 11, the Portland Police Bureau reallocated resources to form three precincts: East, North and Central. As a result of this reallocation, the Office of Neighborhood Involvement's (ONI) Crime Prevention Coordinators will shift to accommodate neighborhood needs effectively. The new neighborhood assignments for Crime Prevention Coordinators within Central Northeast Neighbors are: Mary Tompkins mary.tompkins@ci.portland.orus, 503-823-4763 for Beaumont-Wilshire, Hollywood, Rose City Park, and Roseway; Mark Wells mark.wells@ci.portland.or.us, 503-823-4098 for Cully, Sumner and Sunderland. Every year, there are many block party events in Central NE neighborhoods! These parties vary in size and activities such as BBQ, live music, face painting, raffle, parade, pot-luck, ice-cream social, so you can count on having fun!
