Transportation Funding Crisis-Act Now! Join Sam Adams at CNN
WHAT: The CNNLUTOP Committee will host Commissioner Sam Adams' Transportation Funding Forum.

WHEN:
 Monday, July 2nd from 7-9p

WHERE:
CNN Community Room, 4415 NE 87th near Sandy Blvd.

WHY: We must act now-YOU are part of the solution! Significant cuts in funding and declining revenue sources have brought our local transportation system to a critical juncture. A healthy transportation system benefits all; a deteriorating one costs all. Every neighborhood has been impacted by the reduction in transportation funding and the weakening of our most important transportation assets.

All welcome
Upcoming summer event: CNNLUTOP NE 82nd Corridor Tour! Will help provide input for the 82nd Safety Corridor-Transportation Project.

Neighbors Win over Liquor License Bill
Neighborhood leaders including Cully worked persistently and reached victory. Senator Rick Metsger, Chair of the Senate Business, Transportation and Workforce Committee, ordered HB 2170 killed in his Committee on May 30th, noting the concerns of the neighborhood groups and the issues raised in the amendments.

Senator Gordly and Representative Tina Kotek teamed up to introduce amendments that would have limited the OLCC's authority under HB 2170.

HB 2170, OLCC bill to issue a 180 day temporary letter to allow all applicants a license to serve liquor immediately.

Thanks to everyone who wrote letters and phoned in opposing HB 2170.  Working together really can make a difference!
