| Food Scrap Curbside Collection in Roseway! |
The Roseway Neighborhood is one of four participating neighborhoods for the new Portland Composts! Food Scrap Curbside Collection Pilot. The City selected 2,000 Portland homes from four neighborhoods across Portland. These homes will participate for one year in weekly food scrap curbside collection and will provide feedback before the program goes citywide in 2011. This will bring Portland in line with other major West Coast cities such as Seattle and San Francisco that have been offering their residents curbside collection of food scraps for several years with great success. |
