Imagine kids, parents, elders enjoying a day in the park and the dream of a neighborhood soccer field being one step closer to reality! Help transform this recently acquired industrial property into a family-friendly park in an area that is park deficient. Spend the morning outside and put your arms to work! Energetic volunteers are needed to help pull blackberry bushes near the fence along this soon-to-be park's border. Saturday, April 24th from 8:30 am-noon, NE 75TH & Killingsworth. Click here to sign up or call Kim Livesay at Hands On Greater Portland: 503-200-3366 or email her at Kimberly@handsonportland.org.

2010 Education Summit Community Town Hall
Education is vital to our goal of becoming the most sustainable city in the world. The only way we will achieve this goal is through partnership and collaboration. The Town Hall serves to engage the community in a meaningful conversation about how we as a community can ensure all students have access to resources that help them graduate high school on time and go on to post-secondary education. Resources for youth and families will be available as well as snacks and child care.
